Over due Update!

Okay... So about 2 Saturdays ago Robby, Kathy, the kids, Greg, and I went to the olimpic oval in to watch the Qualifying meet. It was very cool to see the skaters and remember the days when we used to skate. I had feelings that I missed it so much and wanted to go back to doing it and the other half of me was feeling greatful to have had the expireance that just watching was enough! It brought back so many memories. You know stuff like Wendy taking the wall out just below the mirrors, just missing the stud, and just having her breaces tightened, in I believe Portland, Oregon. Robby dominating in the rental skate race with Derick Para. Ouch!! And who can forget the big muffin race Greg did! In which he got second place (Apolo Ohno got first) Go Greg! My presonal favorite was the relay race, I was in with little James, that I fell forward on my head and cracked my helment in half, got up did it agian, and still won first place!!! Good Times! This picture here is of me (Sally) on the podium getting my GOLD metal at regonals!

The next thing was Shawn and I talked about it and decited I should get a fun part time job to keep me busy. So, I got a fun little job!! It's at the "Husband and Wife" Intimancy Boutique in American Fork. Which I love!!! My first day by myself was Valentines. I worked from 4pm-11pm and became there best sales preson. While I was at work Shawn made me a Valintines wonderland at our house! Here are a few more pictures.

Last week I went to my friend Sommer's Baby shower. It was so cute and had great cheese cakes!!! I went with Andrea and Becky. We all piched in and got the the swing she wanted!! Sommer's sister made her this diaper cake that was amazing! I need to learn how to make one! Picture( Sally,Sommer and Sayla, Becky, Andrea)

Hopeless Romantics

So every year around this time and my anniversary I go through this brain wrenching battle of what to do for these special occasions, and To show my special loved one how much she means to me. This year after much strainuas thinking I ended up making a special dinner at our house candles were let through out the room while romantic music played in the background. So the questions I pose to all who read this is.... What are some of your favorite things that you have either heard someone doing that you have thought was a great Idea or have done for that special someone on these special days.

Quaterback Pet Peves

So I have some what of a pet-peve that I would like to vent about. In the game of football the glory and honor always go to the quarterback. what is up with that. I realize that the QB has a lot to do with the out come of a game. But what about the rest of the team? If one aspect of the TEAM does not pull it's weight it makes winning the game much harder to do. I bring this up somewhat because of the super bowl. David Tyree makes a great catch from a not very good throw (granted Eli Manning was under heavy pressure). which in my opinion was the game winning play of the super bowl. But who gets the MVP? You guessed it the Quarterback Eli Manning. David Tyree was not even a canadidate. Now I am not saying that I don't believe that the quarterback is not a game changing player or even that Eli Manning didn't deserve MVP. All I am saying is what about the rest of the team? Don't you think they should get a little more credit? Not every game is decided by the QB. With out everyone else who is he going to throw too? Who is he going to make plays with? Now of course this does go both ways, as a majority if the team loses they all blame the Quarterback as well. which isn't right either. Example... when the Dallas Cowboys lost in the play offs. Who's fault was it? Tony Romo's. Because of his involvement with Jessica Simpson everyone said that she distracted him and that is why they lost. Forget that his receivers didn't catch the passes he threw them. And forget about the offensive line that didn't protect him or open up holes for his running backs. Come on lets get real. Football is a TEAM sport you win as a TEAM you lose as a TEAM. So give credit where credit is deserved and remember the wide receivers, running backs, special, offensive and defensive teams have just as much to do with the out come of the game as the Quarterback does. In Short let us never forget THIS IS A TEAM SPORT!

Whit's baby shower!

So, I just found these pictures from Whit's
Baby shower in Cali. Aren't we so
Cute! Amy and I were a little exosted (spell?) from the day of shopping, the beach, and my favorite part! The getting rear ended!!! I have to say the food was amazing! It made all our troubles just melt away. Seeing Whit was good too! We played a game where a poor little baby was frozen in an ice cube. We all had to guess what time it would be when the little baby would finally be free from its frozen cage! We were way off. ( left to right -Sally, Whit, Amy)

In this picture we are drawing a baby on our heads. Doesn't We look funny! The rules were, we had to draw a baby piece by piece. Example... draw the head. Easy right? Next, draw the left foot, right arm, nose, curl on top of head, tummy..... and so on. Not so easy now...hu? If I remember right Amy's baby was quite good. Mine on the other hand had his head in his tummy, his feet for ears and his nose in the heavens. Good times, good times! To be honest i don't remember Whit's. Sorry you'll have to update us on that. ( left to right -Whit, Sally, Amy, People I don't know!)

This is HARD!

Putting this together is hard. Sorry about all the space between and after my last post. I'll do better next time. How do you get the pictures to go where you want them to go and not go to the top? I think thats why I have all that space at the end. Oh well....

Last year on "The Barringtons"

So... Shawn asked me to put pictures on our blog. The problem is it's only been 16 hours since I posted our blog and most of that has been Sleeping. Not too much has happened since we went to bed last night. So... I decited to give you a little bit about last year!
Last year we were fosted parent for the cutest litle boy named Bo Jackson! We did everything together. He went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner and we went to the movies. I also taught him how to shop! I believe, next to playing with Shawn, shopping was his favorite thing to do. We also taught him to do chores. He was a great helper when ever I droped any food on the floor. He just cleaned it right up! Good Boy! He was placed with a wonderful family who have two little boys to play with! Good Luck Bo Jackson!

Next, I went on a hikeing trip with my friends down to escalate national park in southern utah and hiked some sweet slot canyons. We spent 3 days camping and hiking all over. We only got to call our wives once and it was on a pay phone.

I went to San Diego on tour with my little sister last summer. We rode there on a bus full of teenagers. Lets just say I wanted to die!!! But, it was supper fun after we got there. We went to see Shamoo!! I love Shamoo! We had a personal lunch with my new BFF! The trainer said that I would probably never be as close to a Shamoo, like I was, ever agian in my life! After that we went over to the petting area and I held a star fish. Aren't I brave!

Well, that'sall I have for now. Until next time.....
